World leaders must take urgent, fair and strong action on climate change.

Climate change increases poverty and suffering for millions of the world’s poorest people as they face increasingly unpredictable weather, hunger and disease.

This is a massive injustice because the poorest people are the least responsible for causing climate change and have the least resources to cope.

Let's take action while it's still time.

I use smart transportation, I heat smartly, I reduce my trash output and I reduce my electricity consumption.

I am doing what I can to reduce my personal contribution to global warming, but I know that the world needs a fair and strong international climate change agreement.

I am calling on governments in:

• Every country to work within the United Nations to ensure that the needs of the world’s poorest people are at the heart of a new global climate change deal.
  
• Rich countries to cut their emissions first, fastest and furthest so that global emissions peak by 2015 and fall at least 80% below 1990 levels by 2050.
  
• Rich countries to provide the money and technology needed, independent of existing aid commitments, to help vulnerable people in poor countries adapt to changing climates.
  
• Poor countries to invest in national plans which focus on supporting the most vulnerable communities to adapt to the effects of climate change.
