An innovative concept that makes a difference

Unwrapped, gifts that give twice!

2010-11-30

Oxfam-Québec is pleased to launch the 4th edition of its Unwrapped program. New products, new ideas and a unique way to give twice.

During the holiday season, Unwrapped allows you to give
twice: by pleasing a loved one, who will receive a card along the
selected product; and, by offering a gift that will support our
projects benefiting the poorest populations on the planet.

For three years now, Suzanne Clément, James Hyndman, Marc Labrèche,
Pascale Montpetit and Pierre Verville have been lending their support
to the Oxfam-Québec team. Through charming video capsules http://oxfam.qc.ca/fr/sansemballage/pub, they have illustrated the importance of marking the holiday season with gifts that make a difference.

This year, Oxfam-Québec has extended its line from 29 to 34 gifts, all the while keeping the concept humourous and fresh:
A Soccer Ball, to make education fun.
High Yield Manure, an eco gift to nourish soils with rich, organic fertiliser.
A Chick, for the nutritious quality of eggs and to guarantee a source of   additional income for families.
A Family of Pigs, also a source of additional income, and of organic fertiliser.
A Wheelbarrow, to help families carry out their work and routine chores.

Our artists have already made their selection. Just like Sylvie
Fréchette, who chose drinking water, or James Hyndman, who elected to
send a chid to school, take your pick and give twice!

Thanks to Unwrapped, the holiday ritual of gift giving becomes an opportunity for universal sharing and solidarity.
